The Foundling Museum

The Museum tells the story of the Foundling Hospital, London's first home for abandoned children. Handel was a governor of the Foundling Hospital and held annual benefit concerts in aid of the Hospital. The Gerald Coke Handel Collection, at The Foundling Museum, holds an important collection of material relating to Handel and his contemporaries.

Handel is buried in Westminster Abbey. A life-size statue of Handel above his grave was made by the sculptor Louis Francois Roubiliac and unveiled in 1762.
