Education
As part of its ongoing education programme, the Handel House Museum runs a lively series of events. Based around Handel, his music and his time, the programme includes live music recitals, practical music making, workshops, study days, children's events and tours for a wide range of visitors. The Museum has developed partnerships with other arts organisations to offer a great variety of events of the highest quality.
The School Workshops at Handel House are designed to complement National Curriculum programmes of study in Music. There is also the opportunity for cross-curricula work, for example with History, Literacy, RE, Drama, Art and Citizenship. Handel House represents a unique resource for schools, offering young people the opportunity to work with professional musicians in an inspiring historic house.
We offer a number of preplanned workshops but we are very
flexible and can tailor workshops to the needs of your class. If you
have any ideas or themes you would like us to cover then please contact
Claire Parker, Learning and Events Officer on 020 7399 1953 or cparker@handelhouse.org
